The First Integral Guide for Expats in Serbia — Move to Belgrade Goes Live

Expats in Serbia will now get a new source of information to help them settle, as Share Foundation, Nova Iskra, KC Grad and Startit work together on a project that seeks to give them a hand when coming to the country.

As announced previously at the We Know We Can event, one of the tasks of our community will be the Move to Belgrade project – aimed at collecting and providing useful info on life and work to expats living in Serbia or foreign citizens thinking about moving here. We believe that both startup and tech community, and the entire society could benefit vastly from cultural diversity and knowledge-sharing from the professionals coming here.

Serbia Stages 130 Events during Europe Code Week, Enters Top 10 Countries

This morning, around 150 elementary school kids gathered in Belgrade Startit Center to mark the beginning of the Code Week, which takes place from 15 to 23 October throughout Europe. With a total of 130 events to be organized this week, Serbia is among top ten countries that will take part in the “initiative to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way”.

“We know we can”: 700+ people attend the central Serbian startup community event

The biggest startup event in Serbia this year was held on Saturday May 16th in Belgrade, with more than 700 people who attended a celebration of the growing local startup scene.

In some ways, what was celebrated under the motto We know we can was not just entrepreneurship, but a spirit of optimism, energy and determination in an apathetic country which takes second place in the world in the brain drain category due to harsh and absurd economic and social conditions.
