Win the WebFest.ME challenge and get your startup into TechCrunch DisruptBY Vukašin Stojkov ON August 23
WebFest.ME is a startup conference that’s taking place on 20. and 21. September in Budva, Montenegro. Apart from a rather interesting speaker lineup, the conference includes a startup challenge component called Web-Up, the winners of which will be presenting their startup at the TechCrunch Disrupt NY in 2013.
TechCrunch Disrupt is, of course, one of the key startup events in the US including appearances from leading investors and entrepreneurs, such as Fred Wilson, Paul Graham, Ron Conway, Chris Dixon, Dennis Crowley and hundreds of others. It’s a great chance to connect to the American scene and promote your company.
You can register your startup for the competiton through this form by September 10, including a 2-page description of the company and the business model. The startup must have been founded later than May 2010 and mustn’t have gotten an investment larger than $2M by May 2013 (when TC Disrupt NY is being held). The competition’s focus is on startups from South-East Europe but companies from all around the world are welcome to apply.
As an added benefit to the winning startup, the organizers of the challenge will cover all the expenses of traveling to New York.
The lineup – kiip, SEOmoz, about.me, Newscurve…
The startup challenge is just a small part of the whole conference. At WebFest.ME we’ll get a chance to hear Brian Wong of kiip, the hot rewards network startup, people from SEOmoz, about.me, Startup Chile, Newscurve and many others. See the speakers and agenda pages for full details.
The ticket price is 199€ (after September 11 it will be 249€) with discounted student tickets available for only 20€.
Since we’re a proud media partner of WebFest we get to give our readers a 20% discount on ticket prices — just use webfest-startit-20 coupon when buying the ticket. (Limited amount available.)
See you at WebFest.ME!
