Belgrade’s Nordeus launched its long expected second game — what is Sportster?

BY Zoja Kukic ON February 19

Nordeus, probably most successful Serbian tech company launched today its long expected new game. After incredible success they have with Top Eleven (12 mio monthly active users) and the announced collaboration with Win, we can finally get to know Sportster.

Like it can be suspected based on the participants, it is a combination of a social game and gambling based on sport. Just like Top Eleven, Sportster is intended for Facebook users and, as in the company say, the game is testing the intuition and sports knowledge of the players.

The players can bet on real matches, but on virtual ones as well (like the ones in Top Eleven) in various ways – guessing the final score, on the half-time, handicap bets, double chance bets, etc.

Another opportunity for the players is a competition in bets on virtual matches, which is something we haven’t seein in similar games. Besides that, as players level up, new interactive challenges will be created and each new will be more sophisticated as the player progresses to the next level.

brankoNordeus fans requested the ability to bet on sports matches, and we’ve been hard at work designing a dynamic new gaming experience for them.

Together with Win we’ve created the ultimate fan experience in Sportster where football fans from all over the world can bet on real and virtual matches in an entirely new way. — Branko Milutinović, CEO Nordeus

If you’d like to try yourself out in Sportster, open beta is available on Facebook on this link.

Will Sportster repeat the incredable success of Top Eleven? Seems like a bet with good chances.

Guys from Nordeus have made their first game wothout any funding or similar investment along side, and it could be suspected that with a meaningful resources (130 employees and adequate capital)  on disposal can achieve much more and much faster. It is surely not detracting having a patner like on this project, which is the biggest public company for online gambling in the world.

If the streets of Belgrade (where you can see a betting house on every corner) are  any indicator, we can say that people love betting on sport matches. For further news about Sporster – will it work and if, how, keep following Startit.
